Seven Principles for the Fitness and Leisure Sector
Our commitment to our members / new applicants
- We will provide all potential members with an opportunity to read and understand the terms and conditions before signing the membership agreement.
- We will take particular care to explain to all potential members the requirements of joining for a minimum fixed period and the cancellation procedure.
- We will allow a seven-day period for reflection from the date of signing the membership agreement before being formally committed to a minimum fixed membership period contract. However, the initial joining fee or administration fee may be charged.
- All existing members will be notified of any changes to the terms and conditions of membership. Any queries they may have, particularly as to how those amended terms impact on their current membership, will be dealt with expeditiously.
- Where changes are made to the terms and conditions of the membership agreement, we will ensure that they will be stated in a clear manner (e.g. written in plain language) and will benefit all new members. Existing members will also benefit where such revisions are reasonably practicable and to the extent necessary.
- Our new Membership Agreement has been drawn up in line with the Guidelines prepared by the National Consumer Agency.
- It is our objective to deliver a high quality customer service to all our members and we would welcome feedback from members and guests.
