Current and budget accounts

There are lots of different accounts offered by banks, building societies and credit unions. Current accounts are the most common type of bank account, and let you have access to your money for day-to-day banking. Budget accounts are offered by some banks and credit unions to help you spread out the cost of your bills over the year.  This means that you have one set payment instead of paying different amounts each month.
